Basement Progress

Things are coming along rather nicely on the basement

-drop ceiling - check

-electrical work done - check

Next up

-Lowe's is coming out to measure for carpet on Friday
-One final coat of grey paint needed
-Ready for helmet stripes

-Finishing touches on all the trim work

-Assemble library units for the "office" room

-Put everything back were it belongs!

-Sometime closer to the fall we will get the furniture

Family Game Night

Ok - We finally caved into pressure and joined the Nintendo Wii revolution!! We had family game night with my (Julie's) folks - it was a blast!! Chris had better things to do - although we all know he was just to scared to take on the undisputed boxing champ in the Rychener household! One of these days - your going down!

Easter in the Smokies

Late on updates......

My mom and I spent our 4th annual Mother/Daugther trip in the Smoky Mountains this year. We left on a Wednesday and came home on Easter Sunday. What did we do?

1 -SHOP!!! - you should have seen how packed the trailblazer was on the way home

2 -Dixie Stampede - You have to go at least once in your lifetime - it was cool

3 -Krispy Kreme - oh yeah - the hot light was on!

4 -Old Time Photos - we had a blast - mom threatened bodily harm if I posted the pic online!

5 -A 4 mile roundtrip hike to Laurel Falls - you bet we did it!

We always have a good time and I cherish these trips with mom.
