Trip to the Motherland

The countdown is on.... Matt is telling everyone that asks "where are you going on vacation" that we are travelling to the Motherland - the Mecca. I must protest! We are going to Orlando - yes.... BUT this time we are going to Universal Studios (thanks to me winning 2 free 7 day passes!) and we are going to Sea World too. We have never been to Universal so that should be fun (Dr Suess Land!!) and its been a really long time since I've been to Sea World. Hey - who doesn't love watching whales and dolphins doing tricks - right?

Ok, Ok - so we probably will take in a day or two at Disney...twist my arm. =)

Oh yeah and the timeshare condo is right next to a Giordano's Pizza - mmmmm - as Bekah likes to say - the cheese is so thick on the pizza its enough to make you choke! Its wonderful and well worth the 30 minutes it takes to bake it.

Anywho.... we fly out next Thursday night!! (May 22) - for 10 wonderful days away!

How's the Carpet?!

Well - honestly....its ok. I mean its super nice to have carpet - but

1 - the basement carpet looks more blue than the dark grey it was supposed to be

2 - they ordered and installed the wrong carpet upstairs! So that has to be re-ordered and installed.

Anyway - here are some pics of the basement. Don't get me wrong we are so thankful to finally have carpet in the basement - it was just a little disappointing that it didn't turn out exactly like we had hoped/pictured.

Birthday Lunch

This birthday girl got treated to a special pizza lunch. I am truly blessed today.... and since it is my birthday - well so far I have had a strawberry dessert cup, 2 cupcakes and I intend on topping that off with a slice of birthday cake tonight! I'll have salad tomorrow!

Stripes!

Well the basement stripes are getting done! One room down and one to go. The carpet is coming on Tuesday - so I am feeling the crunch to get all the painting done so we don't have to worry about paint spills on the new carpet! Oh and if you come to visit - we have a BYOB policy - bring your own beanbag! Not much else to sit on! Oh well more room to play Wii
