The face says it all... it looks like she was a little surprised at the laptop her loving hubby bought her.
If you want to know how Eskimo stay warm just look at this gift that Julie made her mother. I was sweating just looking at her all wrapped up in that.
The boys were thrilled to open up their fan packs... Luda got a MSU Izzone shirt and Papa Rosene got a Duke Cameron Crazies shirt.

Missin' Eddie
Can someone go out to our house and hug Eddie for Julie... she's going through withdrawl. =)
Chillin' Barbados Style
One day left... other than going scuba diving today (sorry Brent), we've managed to do NOTHING but lay by the pool from sunup to sundown. We might be able to heat small countries with the heat radiating from our bodies but we sure are relaxed. We're renting a car tomorrow for our last day to go out and see the island and take a couple photos. We'll see you in a couple days (If American Airlines can get us home again).

Countdown is on....
Matt and I are in the single digit countdown finally! We have 8 more days until Barbados. We are not looking forward to the long travel day that will have us flying Detroit to Miami to San Juan to Barbados- but it will be worth it when we have 7 days to do absolutely nothing but soak up the sun. Hopefully Matt will be able to dive this time! ...its a pain to haul Scuba gear down and not be able to use it =)

Weekend Fun
The Famous "Buckeye Guy"
What better place to strike the O-H-I-O pose?
Is Mike really smiling?
Best part of the day
Here are some pics from our trip to Ohio State last weekend. It was a rough day for Chris - he just couldn't stay loyal to one team! But in the end....the better team won and Chris was singing right along on Carmen Ohio.

Whats Up?!!
Well just thought I would put a little update out here. It has been a while. Tomorrow marks our second consecutive Saturday spent in the 'SHOE - I can't think of a better place to be on a Saturday! I can already hear the band...
Our only other tidbit of news is that for the next 10 days we will be parental figures for Chris -as he will be staying with us while my mom and dad head to Cape Hatteras to go fishing on what is their first vacation by themselves in probably 30 years!
That's about it from our boring corner of the world!!
Go BUCKS! Beat those Sparty's ...... and with that ...I feel somewhat like a traitor..

Locks of Love......
It was playtime in Pettisville last night. Val did her magic once again! I love the new cut! I kept pretty quiet about this covert operation - so needless to say I am getting a lot of surprised looks this morning. I was hoping that my hair was long enough for Locks of Love - because when I started this grow out process long ago that was the goal I had in mind - Val thought that it was just long enough - so she is sending it in!
The best part was -after about 5 minutes of blow drying-I was pretty much ready to go out the door this morning!

Farewell Friend...
Disney Recap
Sorry - I know I have been back for a week and I am just now getting around to posting some pictures! My recap of my time at Disney is summed up as this -HOT, Full of Food (I mean how many 14oz Ribeye Steaks can one girl eat!) , and Full of Disney Magic....and um...lots of snoring by dad at night!
All you kids will be wanting to come to my house to play - as I have started the coolest Mr & Mrs Potato Head collection ever! Thanks to mom and about 30 minutes of strategic packing -I brought home a heaping helping of exclusive Disney Potato Head parts - the sign said as many parts as you can fit in one box for $19 - and you can bet that I got my money's worth! Can't wait to go back and get more parts!
So anyway here are some top pick photos of the trip - Enjoy!

In Search of Pirates.....
Well Matt had his fun last week and now its my turn! I fly out this afternoon to meet up with my family at the Happiest Place on Earth - Disney. Now I have been there before...and well to watch some kids and adults you wouldn't know that it is supposed to be the Happiest Place on Earth.... lighten up people!! Anyway.... of course I'll be sure to hit one of my all time favorite rides while I am there...Pirates of the Carribean. Unfortunately the coolest ride at Disney is closed for refurbishment - that would be Rock-n-Roller Coaster....Did I mention that we are on the dining plan...NICE! Catch ya later- Drink up me'earties YO HO!

Purpose Discovered
This trip was why you own motorcycles... The Blueridge Parkway, Cherohala Skyway, and Tail of the Dragon were absolutely unbelievable riding experiences. If you don't own a motorcycle, go buy one... rent one... borrow one... heck even steal one (ok don't really steal one) and get down there to enjoy gorgeous scenery and breathtaking terrain.
The Dragon Ate My Laptop
...no really. Sorry for the lack of posts towards the end of the trip. My laptop hard drive took a big dump. I don't know if it got tired of being cooped up in the saddlebag all day or what but when I went to turn it on it started making noises that I didn't realize were possible from a laptop. It was pronounced dead on arrival when I got to work this morning. (moment of silence please).

Where's Ann Arbor?
You've gotta love the folks down in Boone, North Carolina. They're really enjoying this little victory over Michigan. Since our trip had us passing so close to Boone - home of the Appalachian State Mountaineers - I begged Paul and Mike to make a detour here to take some photos. I put on my OSU jersey and proceeded to take photos around their football field. On our way back to the bikes, some guy saw me with the OSU gear on and started talking to us. He turned out the be the head equipment manager for the team and was so impressed that we came by to see them that he gave us a grand tour of the facilities, meeting rooms, locker room, etc. We got to meet the head coach - who loves Jim Tressel by the way - and were even given some SWEEEEET tshirts that say "Where's Ann Arbor" on the front and "Betcha know where Boone is now!" with the score of the game on the back. Go Mountaineers!
Meet Me at the Waffle House
OK, funny story #1 didn't take long to take shape... after leaving home Wednesday evening we ran down to the south side of Columbus and stopped for the night. Not wanting to get back on the bikes and go looking for food as it was already past 10:00 Paul suggested that we just walk over to the Waffle House that shared a parking lot with our hotel. Now picture this... the cook ends up waiting on us because he claims the waitress isn't feeling well... as we're waiting for our food to arrive we hear the most gut wrenching puking coming from the rest room. Yeah, not feeling well. A few minutes later she staggers out and attempts to go back and bring us our food - anybody still hungry? Thankfully the cook makes her go back in the office and lay down. We're not letting Paul pick restaurants any more.
Wild Hogs??!!
Is it a mid-life crisis or just a trip to air out the testosterone? They may never tell us! Matt, Mike, and Paul left last night for a 4 1/2 day motorcycle trip. Their final destination you ask? Well it is Deals Gap North Carolina - Better known to fellow bikers as The Dragon's Tail. This is a stretch of highway that is only 11 miles long and boasts 318 curves within this small stretch. Are they nuts or what!?
Another destination probably on their route would be Boone North Carolina - you all know my huge Buckeye Fan would want nothing more than to have his picture taken at the entrance to the Appalachian State University campus in a salute to our friends up north.

Best Man Toast
Chris Rosene... Best Man... Master of Ceremonies...
Chris managed to turn toasting into a profitable business landing $10.00 from each groomsman. He's looking for more work if you have an event you'd like MC'd.

Belated Newport Post
OK, we are awful bloggers... not nearly as dedicated as the faithful Mosers. Here are some shots from our weekend on the east coast. We hit a different spot each day... Newport, Rhode Island, Plymouth, Massachusetts, and Cape Cod. The lobster was scrumptious (yeah I know Bekah... there's no taste).
How weird do you think it was for the Pilgrims to step off the Mayflower and see a rock marked with the date? =)
This church in Plymouth is the oldest church in the United States.

Newport Getaway
Here are some more photos from various spots on our trip.
Shops along the warf in Newport, Rhode Island.
One of the beaches in Newport as seen from the start of the south end of the Cliff Walk.
This mansion was near the south end of Newport's Cliff Walk.
Wow! That's pretty much all I can say about this one.
This mansion looked like it belonged over in Europe.
The Mayflower II docked in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
This restaurant in Plymouth rocked! Julie and I each got the equivalent of 2 lobsters already out of the shell and soaking in butter. Mmmm!
This is the lighthouse across from the beach in Chatham, Massachusetts at the very south east tip of Cape Cod.
Check out this fog that rolled in. You couldn't see any of the boats just off shore... 20 minutes later it was gone.

Back from ReCreation Experiences
We're back from Asheville, North Carolina after spending a great week with ReCreation Experiences. Above is a photo of the new center in the old Red Oak school building.
When we arrived at the center we went right to work on honing our building skills by constructing a human pyramid.
One of our tasks was to put a new roof on the house for Janet, Cathy and Brandy.
Our other task was to paint their house.
On Tuesday night a band was practicing in the sanctuary of the church we were staying at. They offered to play 2 songs for us... an hour and a half later we wrapped up an impromptu worship session.
The kids really enjoyed a loud, rocking worship session to end the week on Friday. We even got them to unfold their arms and dance. =)
